Cocktail

1

Prepare glass

Chill a large wine glass or a stemmed goblet in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water while you assemble the drink. When ready, discard the ice water if used and add 2–3 large ice cubes to the glass.

2

Build the base

In a mixing glass or shaker filled with ice, pour 1 oz vodka, 0.5 oz St-Germain, 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice, and 0.25 oz simple syrup. Stir gently for 10–15 seconds to chill and slightly dilute the mix. (Use a shaker without hard shake; this drink benefits from gentle stirring.)

3

Combine with rosé

Strain the chilled mixture into the prepared wine glass over the ice. Slowly pour 5 oz chilled rosé wine down the side of the glass to preserve effervescence and a layered look.

4

Top and finish

Add 1 oz chilled dry sparkling water or club soda to brighten the cocktail. Gently stir once or twice with a bar spoon to integrate without flattening the bubbles.

5

Garnish and serve

Express a lemon twist over the glass to release the oils, rub it on the rim and drop it in. Optional: float an edible rose petal on top for a fragrant, decorative touch. Serve immediately while chilled and effervescent.
