Ingredients for Barbecued Spare Ribs

Method

Cooking Directions for Barbecued Spare Ribs

1

Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption.

2

Make the Rub

In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and cayenne pepper to create a dry rub.

3

Season the Ribs

Generously coat the ribs with the dry rub, ensuring they are well covered on both sides.

4

Cook the Ribs

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover with another sheet of foil and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.

5

Prepare the Sauce

In a saucepan, combine apple cider vinegar and barbecue sauce. Heat over medium heat until warmed through.

6

Grill the Ribs

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Once the ribs are done baking, remove them from the oven and discard the top layer of foil.

7

Glaze the Ribs

Brush the ribs with the prepared sauce and grill for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally and adding more sauce, until they are caramelized.

8

Serve

Remove the ribs from the grill, let them rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve with extra barbecue sauce on the side.
