In a medium bowl, whisk together the Madeira wine, olive oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, thyme leaves, black pepper, and salt until well combined.

2. Marinate the Beef

Place the flank steak in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the beef, ensuring it is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight.
