Preparation

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a square baking pan (8x8 inches) with butter or line it with parchment paper.

2

Melt the Chocolate and Butter

In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the dark chocolate and butter. Stir until completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

3

Mix the Wet Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and vanilla extract. Add the melted chocolate mixture and stir until combined.

4

Incorporate Dry Ingredients

Sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Avoid overmixing.

5

Add Nuts

Fold in the chopped nuts to the batter gently.

Baking

6

Pour and Bake

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

7

Cool and Cut

Once baked, remove the pan from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting into squares.

8

Add Toppings

Once cooled, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt and chili flakes on top of the brownies for an added kick.
