Preparation
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cream Butter and Sugar
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add Eggs
Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Incorporate Flavorings
Stir in the vanilla extract, almond extract, and lemon zest.
Mixing Dry Ingredients
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet mixture alternately with the milk, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
Baking
Prepare the Baking Pan
Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
Pour Batter
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, sprinkle powdered sugar over the top of the cake. Add fresh berries and garnish with mint leaves.
Slice and Serve
Slice the cake into squares and serve on a platter.
