Method

Preparation

1

Combine Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.

2

Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Cooking

3

Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined; the batter may be lumpy, but do not overmix.

4

Heat the Pan

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. If desired, lightly grease the surface with a little butter or oil.

5

Cook Pancakes

Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

6

Serve

Remove pancakes from the skillet and keep warm. Serve with maple syrup and fresh berries on top.
