Cocktail Ingredients

Method

Cocktail Preparation

1

Prepare the Lavender Syrup

In a small saucepan, combine equal parts of water and sugar. Add dried lavender flowers. Bring to a simmer, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let it steep for 15 minutes. Strain the syrup to remove the lavender flowers and let it cool.

2

Mix the Cocktail

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Add 2 oz of gin, 0.5 oz of the prepared lavender syrup, and 0.5 oz of fresh lemon juice.

3

Shake Well

Secure the lid on the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds to chill and combine the ingredients.

4

Strain into Glass

Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass. Use a fine mesh strainer if desired to ensure a smooth pour.

5

Garnish

Twist a lemon peel over the cocktail to release its oils, then drop it into the glass as a garnish. Optionally, sprinkle a few dried lavender flowers on top for an elegant touch.
