Method

Prepare Glass

1

Chill glass (optional)

If you prefer your Coca-Cola extra cold, place the glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water while preparing. Discard ice water and proceed.

2

If using a lime wedge, prepare it now by cutting a fresh lime into wedges.

Serve Mexican Coke

3

If you want ice: add 6 ice cubes to the chilled or room-temperature tall glass. Adjust number of cubes to taste.

4

Hold the 1/2 liter glass bottle of imported Mexican Coca-Cola upright. If the bottle is sealed with a crown cap, open it with a bottle opener. If it’s a twist-off cap, twist to open.

5

Pour the Coca-Cola slowly into the glass over the ice, tilting the glass slightly to preserve carbonation and reduce foam. Stop pouring when the glass is about 90% full to avoid overflow.

6

Optionally, garnish the rim of the glass with a lime wedge or squeeze a small amount of lime into the drink for a citrus note. Stir gently with a long spoon or straw if desired.

7

Serve immediately while cold. Keep remaining Coca-Cola refrigerated and consume within 1–2 days for best carbonation and flavor.
