Choice: Fountain Drink (large)

Method

Fountain Drink (large)

1

Fill cup

Place 1 cup of ice into a large (20–24 oz) cup.

2

Dispense soda

Select desired soda flavor at the fountain. Hold the cup under the nozzle and dispense approximately 20 oz of soda, leaving about 1/2 inch of headspace. Do not overfill to avoid overflow when replacing the nozzle.

3

Garnish and serve

Add an optional lemon or lime wedge to the rim or inside the cup. Insert a straw and serve immediately with a lid if for takeaway.

Agua Fresca (large)

4

Prepare fruit

Wash and roughly chop about 2 cups of your chosen fruit (for watermelon remove rind; for pineapple remove core and rind; for strawberries hull).

5

Blend

Place the 2 cups chopped fruit, 3 cups cold water, 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice, and 2 tablespoons granulated sugar into a blender. Add 4 mint leaves if using. Blend on high for 30–45 seconds until smooth and well combined.

6

Strain (optional)

If you prefer a smooth, pulp-free drink, pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher, using a spoon to press solids and extract liquid. Discard the solids or reserve for another use.

7

Chill and adjust sweetness

Taste the strained agua fresca. If needed, dissolve an additional 1/2 tablespoon sugar in a little water and stir in to adjust sweetness. Chill for 5 minutes or serve immediately over ice.

8

Assemble and garnish

Fill a large cup with 1 cup of ice. Pour about 20 oz (nearly the full pitcher yield) of the agua fresca into the cup. Add a lime wheel or fruit wedge on the rim and an optional mint sprig. Serve with a straw and lid if for takeaway.
