1

Prepare glass

Choose a chilled copper mule mug or an Old-Fashioned/highball glass. Fill the glass about three-quarters full with ice cubes (approximately 1 cup).

2

Add vodka and lime

Pour 1 oz vodka over the ice. Squeeze half an ounce (about the juice of half a small lime) of fresh lime juice into the glass. Drop the squeezed lime half or wedge into the glass if desired for extra aroma.

3

Top with ginger beer

Gently pour 4 oz chilled ginger beer into the glass to avoid too much foam. Give the drink one or two gentle stirs with a bar spoon to combine the vodka, lime, and ginger beer without flattening the carbonation.

4

Garnish and serve

Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim. Optionally tuck a fresh mint sprig or a small piece of candied/fresh ginger beside the lime for aroma. Serve immediately with a straw or stirrer.
