Preparation & glassware
Chill and prepare
Chill a large clear 1.2–1.5 L pitcher or a tall tower-style carafe in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes. Gather a long-handled spoon for gentle layering and prepare an ice-filled serving glass or multiple highball glasses (fill each about 3/4 with cubed ice).
Build the Secret Desire Tower
Add base spirits
Pour the purple gin (250 ml) and peach liqueur (250 ml) into the chilled pitcher. Gently stir once or twice with the long-handled spoon to combine the two liqueurs evenly but avoid aerating too much.
Layer cranberry juice
Slowly pour the cranberry juice (150 ml) down the inside wall of the pitcher or over the back of a spoon so it settles as a distinct layer above the spirit mixture. If desired, pour more slowly to keep a visible layered effect between the peach-purple base and the cranberry layer.
Top with ginger ale and lime
Gently add the ginger ale (90 ml) over the cranberry layer, pouring slowly down the spoon or the inside wall, to create a light effervescent top layer. Add fresh lime juice (10 ml) and allow tiny bubbles to rise through the layers, which helps a subtle mixing while preserving some visual separation.
Serve
Portion and garnish
Using a ladle or a gentle pour, serve the Secret Desire Tower into prepared ice-filled highball glasses, aiming to preserve as much of the layered appearance as possible. Garnish each glass with a lime wheel and a mint sprig if using.
Notes on quantities & scaling
The recipe as written uses a combined 500 ml of spirits/liqueur and yields approximately 6–8 120–150 ml servings depending on glass size. To scale up, keep the spirit-to-mixer ratios roughly the same: purple gin : peach liqueur : cranberry juice : ginger ale : lime juice = 250 : 250 : 150 : 90 : 10 (by ml). Adjust ice and garnish to taste.
