Preparation

1

Marinate the Lamb

In a large bowl, combine the lamb pieces with turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking

2

Sauté Aromatics

Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, minced ginger, and slit green chilies. Sauté for about 2 minutes until fragrant.

3

Cook Onions

Add the sliced onions to the skillet and cook until they are golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.

4

Add Lamb

Increase the heat to high and add the marinated lamb pieces to the skillet. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring frequently until the lamb is browned.

5

Add Vegetables

Stir in the sliced green bell pepper and chopped tomatoes. Cook for another 5-7 minutes or until the tomatoes are soft and the lamb is tender.

6

Finish with Spices

Add the freshly cracked black pepper and adjust salt to taste. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Serving

7

Garnish and Serve

Serve hot, garnished with fresh coriander leaves if desired. Enjoy your spicy Lamb Pepper Fry with rice or naan.
