Tea Preparation

Boil Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

Steep Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add the 4 tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for about 5 minutes, depending on how strong you prefer your tea.

Remove Tea Bags
After steeping, remove the tea bags from the saucepan and discard them.
Sweetening and Flavoring

Add Sugar
While the tea is still warm, stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar until it is fully dissolved.

Add Lemon Juice
Stir in 1 cup of fresh lemon juice to the sweetened tea mixture.

Add Mint
Add fresh mint leaves to the tea for added flavor, adjusting the amount to your taste.
Chill and Serve

Chill the Tea
Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until chilled.

Serve
In a glass, add 2 cups of ice cubes. Pour the chilled tea over the ice and garnish with lemon slices and additional mint leaves, if desired.
