Fries

Method

Fries

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fries

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the frozen French fries on a baking sheet and drizzle with vegetable oil. Toss to coat evenly.

  2. 2

    Bake the Fries

Bake the fries in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, turning halfway through.

Carne Asada

  1. 3

    Marinate the Flank Steak

In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lime juice, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the flank steak and coat well. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes, or ideally, overnight in the refrigerator.

  2. 4

    Cook the Flank Steak

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and grill for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes.

  3. 5

    Slice the Steak

After resting, slice the flank steak against the grain into thin strips.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Assemble the Fries

On a serving platter, layer the baked fries. Top with sliced carne asada, followed by shredded queso blanco, chopped cilantro, sour cream, and sliced jalapeños.

  2. 7

    Serve

Serve immediately while the fries are hot and the cheese is melty.
