Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Dice the onion and bell pepper, mince the garlic, and chop the cilantro. Shred the cooked chicken breast if it's not already shredded.

Cooking the Protein

  1. 2

    Cook Ground Beef and Pork

In a large skillet, over medium heat, cook the ground beef and pork until browned, about 8-10 minutes. Drain excess fat.

  2. 3

    Add Carne Asada

Add the carne asada to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Make sure to break it apart as it cooks.

  3. 4

    Incorporate Chicken

Stir in the shredded chicken and cook for another 3-4 minutes until heated through.

Flavoring

  1. 5

    Season the Mixture

Add the diced onion, bell peppers, garlic, cumin, chili powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir well and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

  2. 6

    Add Fresh Cilantro

Stir in the fresh cilantro and remove the skillet from the heat.

Assembly

  1. 7

    Prepare the Tortillas

Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable.

  2. 8

    Fill the Burritos

Spoon an even amount of the protein mixture onto the center of each tortilla. Top with shredded cheese, sour cream, and salsa.

  3. 9

    Wrap the Burritos

Fold in the sides of the tortilla and then roll from the bottom up to enclose the filling. Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.

Serving

  1. 10

    Serve

Cut the burritos in half if desired and serve warm with extra salsa and sour cream on the side.
