Directions
Prepare the Beef
In a slow cooker, combine the beef chuck roast, beef broth, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender and shreds easily.
Shred the Beef
Once cooked, remove the beef from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded beef to the slow cooker and mix it with the juices.
Prepare the Hoagie Rolls
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the Italian hoagie rolls in half and spread butter on the insides. Place them on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden.
Assemble the Sandwiches
Fill each toasted hoagie roll with a generous portion of the shredded beef. Top with provolone cheese and your choice of hot or mild giardiniera.
Serve
Serve the sandwiches hot, with the option to dip in additional beef juice from the slow cooker.
