Cocktail

Method

Cocktail

  1. 1

    Chill glass

Place a coupe or martini glass in the freezer for at least 5 minutes, or fill with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to chill.

  2. 2

    Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add Grey Goose vodka (2 oz), St-Germain (0.75 oz), lychee juice (2 oz), fresh lemon juice (0.5 oz), and simple syrup (0.25 oz) if you prefer a slightly sweeter drink.

  3. 3

    Add ice and shake

Add a generous amount of ice to the shaker (about 6 oz by volume). Seal and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until the outside of the shaker is cold and slightly frosted.

  4. 4

    Fine strain

Discard the ice or water from the chilled glass. Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled coupe or martini glass using a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer to remove ice shards and any pulp.

Garnish & Serve

  1. 5

Skewer the peeled lychee with a pick and rest it on the rim or drop it gently into the cocktail. Add a lemon twist or a small lemon wheel alongside the lychee. If desired, top with a small edible flower or a mint sprig for aroma.

  2. 6

Serve immediately while cold. Optionally provide a small stirring pick so the guest can mix the garnish flavors into the drink.
