Punch Base

Garnish & Serving

Method

Prepare Punch Base

  1. 1

    Combine liquids

In a large pitcher or punch bowl (at least 2.5 L capacity), pour 3 cups pineapple juice, 1.5 cups fresh orange juice, 1 cup coconut milk, and 1 cup cold water. Stir gently until the coconut milk is evenly distributed and mixture looks uniform.

  2. 2

    Taste and adjust texture

If the coconut milk separates slightly, whisk briskly for 20–30 seconds or use an immersion blender for 5–8 seconds to create a smooth, slightly frothy finish. Chill 10 minutes if serving very cold.

Sweeten and Brighten

  1. 3

Add 3 tablespoons simple syrup and 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice to the punch. Stir and taste. If you prefer sweeter punch, add up to 1 more tablespoon syrup. The lime should lift the flavors without making the drink tart.

Spice & Aromatics

  1. 4

Stir in 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger and 1 teaspoon ground allspice. Give the punch a final gentle stir to incorporate. Let the punch rest 5–10 minutes to allow the ginger and allspice to infuse; stir again before serving.

Chill and Serve

  1. 5

Fill glasses or the punch bowl with ice. If you prefer less dilution, use a large ice block in the bowl and keep cubes for individual glasses. Pour the punch over ice and garnish each serving with a pineapple slice, an orange slice, and a sprig of fresh mint.

  2. 6

Optional: For a sparkling version, replace up to 1 cup of cold water with 1 cup chilled club soda or ginger ale and add just before serving to retain carbonation.
