In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side.
In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and sugar together.
In a deep frying pan, heat oil over medium heat until hot.
Dredge soaked bread slices in the flour mixture, then carefully place them in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
In a saucepan, combine mixed berries, sugar, and lemon juice.
Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the berries break down and release their juices, about 5-7 minutes.
