Top & Finish
Method
Prepare Glass (optional)
- 1
Mix Cocktail
- 2
Fill a highball or Collins glass with ice (about 1 cup).
- 3
In a cocktail shaker or mixing glass filled with ice, combine 2 oz blanco tequila, 2 oz fresh grapefruit juice, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz simple syrup if you prefer a slightly sweeter Paloma. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 8–10 seconds to chill and slightly dilute the mixture.
- 4
Strain the shaken mixture into the prepared ice-filled glass, leaving room for soda (about 1–2 oz space).
- 5
Top with 2 oz grapefruit soda (or 2 oz club soda plus a 1 oz splash of grapefruit soda or fresh grapefruit juice and 0.25 oz simple syrup). Stir gently once or twice to combine.
Garnish & Serve
- 6
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim and, if desired, a grapefruit wedge or twist. Serve immediately with a straw or stirrer.
