Method
Prepare Ingredients

- 2
Prepare fruits
Peel and slice 1 banana. If using fresh mango or pineapple, chop into roughly 1/2 cup pieces. Use 1 cup frozen mixed berries; if they are large, break them into smaller pieces so the blender can process them evenly.
- 3
If using add-ins (spinach, seeds, or protein powder), measure them now so they can be added with the fruit.
Blend Smoothie
- 4
Layer and blend
Add to the blender in this order: almond milk and yogurt first, then honey, vanilla, and cinnamon, then the fresh banana and any fresh mango or pineapple, then the frozen mixed berries and ice, and finally any add-ins (flax/chia, protein powder, spinach). This layering helps the blades catch liquid first and blend evenly.
- 5
Pulse then blend
Pulse 3–4 times to break up large frozen pieces, then blend on high for 30–60 seconds until smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick, add 2–4 tablespoons (30–60 ml) more milk and blend again. If too thin, add a few more ice cubes or a small handful of frozen fruit and blend for 10–20 seconds.
Taste & Finish
- 6
Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness with an extra 1/2 tablespoon honey or maple syrup if desired. If using protein powder or seeds, check texture — add more liquid for smoother consistency or more frozen fruit for thickness.
- 7
Pour into two glasses (or one large), garnish with sliced fruit and mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
