Brewing Process
Prepare the Grain
Crush the malted barley and roasted barley in a grain mill to prepare for mashing.
Mash the Grains
In a large pot, heat the 2000 ml of water to 65°C (149°F). Add the crushed grains and hold the temperature for 60 minutes while stirring occasionally.
Sparging
After mashing, sparge the grains with hot water (75°C/167°F) to extract the sugars. Collect the sweet liquid (wort) in a separate pot.
Boil the Wort
Bring the wort to a boil and add the hops. Boil for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Cool the Wort
After boiling, cool the wort quickly to 20°C (68°F) using a wort chiller or an ice bath.
Fermentation
Transfer the cooled wort to a fermentation vessel and pitch the yeast. Allow it to ferment in a cool, dark place for 1-2 weeks.
Carbonation
After fermentation is complete, carbonate the beverage by adding carbon dioxide to taste. This can be done using a carbonation system or by adding a small amount of sugar before bottling.
Bottling
Bottle the non-alcoholic beer, ensuring clean and sanitized bottles. Seal and store in a cool place.
