Method
Cocktail
- 1
- 2
Muddle cucumber (optional)
Place one cucumber slice in the cocktail shaker and gently muddle 2–3 times to release aroma and a hint of vegetal juice. Avoid over-muddling to prevent bitterness.
- 3
Combine ingredients
Add vodka (2 oz), dry vermouth (0.5 oz), Chile Verde liqueur (0.75 oz), fresh lime juice (0.5 oz) and simple syrup (0.25 oz) into the shaker. Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 to 1.5 cups).
- 4
Shake
Cap the shaker and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is well-chilled and slightly frosted. This chills and dilutes the drink to proper balance.
- 5
Double strain & pour
If you muddled cucumber, strain the cocktail through the shaker strainer into a fine strainer held over the prepared glass to remove solids. If not, simply strain into the chilled glass over fresh ice or serve up in a coupe without ice.
Garnish & Serve
- 6
Float the remaining cucumber slice on the surface or thread it on a cocktail pick. Garnish with a small cilantro sprig laid across the top or set into the drink. Serve immediately.
Tools & Cleanup
- 7
Rinse the shaker and strainer promptly to avoid sticky residue from the liqueur and simple syrup. Wipe the glass rim if needed and enjoy responsibly.
