Cocktail
Chill glass
Place a rocks glass in the freezer or fill it with ice water to chill while you build the cocktail.
Combine ingredients
In a mixing glass, add 2 oz bourbon, 0.5 oz Ramazzotti Amaro, 0.5 oz Luxardo Maraschino, 0.25 oz simple syrup and 2 dashes aromatic bitters.
Add floral note
Add 2 drops of orange blossom water to the mixing glass. Orange blossom water is potent: add drops, not teaspoons, to keep the floral note bright and not soapy.
Prepare glass
Dump the ice or ice water from the chilled rocks glass and place a large clear ice cube (or fresh ice) in the glass.
Strain
Double-strain (or fine-strain if desired) the stirred cocktail over the large ice cube in the chilled rocks glass to remove any tiny ice shards and ensure a silky texture.
Finish with aromatics
Express an orange peel over the drink by holding the peel with the outer skin facing down, giving it a firm quick squeeze to spray the oils across the surface, then run the peel around the rim and drop it into the drink.
Garnish (optional)
Float an edible flower gently on top for a floral, uplifting presentation (optional).
Serve
Present immediately. Sip slowly to enjoy the interplay of bourbon warmth, Ramazzotti's herbal bitterness, maraschino's cherry-almond lift and the subtle floral lift from orange blossom.
