1

Prepare glass

Chill a coupe or Nick & Nora glass by placing it in the freezer for several minutes or filling with ice water while you prepare the cocktail.

2

Combine ingredients

Add 0.75 oz bourbon, 0.75 oz Aperol, 0.75 oz Amaro Nonino, and 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice into a cocktail shaker.

3

Add ice and shake

Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup) and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is very cold and well-diluted.

4

Strain

Discard the ice or water from the chilled glass. Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled coupe using a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer to catch small shards of ice and pulp.

5

Garnish and serve

Express a lemon twist over the drink to release oils, rub the peel on the rim if desired, and drop it into the glass. Serve immediately.
