Cocktail

Method

Prepare Glass

  1. 1

    Optional salt rim

If you prefer a salted rim, rub a lemon wedge around the rim of a chilled martini or coupe glass. Dip the rim into a shallow plate with kosher or coarse salt to coat evenly. Set the glass aside to dry while you mix the cocktail.

Mix Cocktail

  1. 2

Fill a cocktail shaker about two-thirds full with fresh ice cubes.

  2. 3

Add 2 oz blanco tequila, 0.75 oz limoncello, 0.5 oz Chambord, and 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice to the shaker.

  3. 4

If you prefer the drink slightly sweeter, add 0.25 oz simple syrup. (Adjust to taste.)

  4. 5

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until the outside of the shaker is well chilled and the mixture is slightly diluted.

Strain & Garnish

  1. 6

Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared chilled martini or coupe glass using a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer to remove ice shards and any pulp from the lemon juice.

  2. 7

Express a lemon twist over the drink to release oils, then drop the twist into the cocktail or perch a lemon wheel on the rim.

  3. 8

Optional: Skewer one green olive or a fresh raspberry and rest it on a cocktail pick across the glass for an additional garnish.

  4. 9

    Serve immediately.
