Duck Jalapeno Poppers

Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Blackberry Basil Reduction

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine blackberries, balsamic vinegar, and fresh basil. Cook until the blackberries break down and the mixture thickens slightly, about 10 minutes. Strain through a sieve to remove seeds and set aside.

2

Prepare the Filling

In a bowl, mix the duck confit, cream cheese, and crumbled bacon. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

3

Prepare the Jalapenos

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the jalapeno peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes for less heat. Stuff each half with the duck and cream cheese mixture.

4

Bake the Poppers

Place the stuffed jalapenos on a baking sheet and bake for about 15-20 minutes or until the jalapenos are tender and the filling is bubbly.

5

Serve

Drizzle the blackberry basil reduction over the poppers before serving. Enjoy!
