1. Prepare Calamari
Rinse the calamari rings under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
2. Prepare Breading
In a bowl, mix together flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. In another bowl, place the beaten eggs.
3. Coat Calamari
Dip each calamari ring first into the egg mixture, then coat with the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
4. Heat Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
5. Fry Calamari
Fry the calamari in batches for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
6. Serve
Serve the crispy calamari hot with sweet chili dip and volcano dip on the side.
