Method

Prep

1

Rim (optional)

If you want a salted or chili-salt rim, run a lime wedge around the glass edge, then dip the rim into a small plate with coarse salt or chili-salt. Set glass aside to dry briefly.

2

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice (about 1 cup) so liquids will chill quickly.

Mixing & Serving

3

Add 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 1 oz cactus water liqueur, 0.5 oz watermelon syrup, 0.5 oz mezcal and 1 oz blanco tequila into the ice-filled shaker.

4

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until the outside of the shaker is well chilled and slightly frosted.

5

Fill a rocks or coupe glass with fresh ice (if using rocks) or leave empty (for coupe). Strain the cocktail through a fine mesh strainer into the prepared glass to remove small ice shards and any pulp.

6

Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim and optionally a small watermelon wedge or edible flower. Serve immediately.
