Method
Bread Pudding Directions
- 1
Prepare the Bread
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the stale bread into cubes and place them in a large mixing bowl.
- 2
Mix the Custard
In another bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
- 3
Combine Ingredients
Pour the custard mixture over the cubed bread. Gently fold in the white chocolate chips and fresh blueberries, ensuring the bread is well coated.
- 4
Bake the Pudding
Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden and the custard is set.
- 5
Prepare Bourbon Cream Sauce
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of heavy cream, 1/4 cup of bourbon, and 1/4 cup of sugar. Heat over medium heat until sugar dissolves and sauce thickens slightly, about 5-7 minutes.
- 6
Serve
Let the bread pudding cool slightly before serving. Drizzle with bourbon cream sauce and serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
