Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Filling
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- 2
Season the Beef
Add salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- 3
Stuff the Bread
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the hoagie rolls lengthwise, without cutting all the way through, to create a pocket. Stuff each roll with the beef mixture.
- 4
Top with Cheese
Place two slices of white American cheese on top of the beef filling in each roll.
- 5
Butter the Rolls
Spread softened butter on the outside of each stuffed roll.
- 6
Bake
Place the stuffed rolls on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are golden brown.
- 7
Serve
Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, then serve warm.
