Smoothie Base

Method

Smoothie Base

1

Combine liquids

Pour 1 cup coconut milk and 1 cup coconut water into the blender. Add 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice. This creates a creamy, slightly tangy liquid base that helps everything blend smoothly.

Fruit

2

Add fruit

Add 1 cup diced ripe mango, 1 cup diced pineapple, and 1 peeled banana (use a frozen banana for thicker texture). These fruits provide natural sweetness and tropical flavor.

Greens & Add-ins

3

Add greens and ice

Add 1 packed cup fresh baby spinach and 1 cup ice cubes to the blender. Spinach blends smoothly and will turn the smoothie a vibrant green without a strong vegetal taste.

4

Sweeten if needed

If you prefer a sweeter smoothie, add up to 1 teaspoon honey or agave (start with 1 tsp and adjust to taste).

5

Blend on high for 45–75 seconds (or until completely smooth). Stop and scrape down the sides once or twice to ensure even blending. If the smoothie is too thick, add 2–4 tablespoons additional coconut water and blend again; if too thin, add a few more ice cubes or a small piece of frozen banana and re-blend.

6

Taste and adjust: check acidity and sweetness. Add a squeeze more lime (about 1–2 tsp) for brightness or another 1/2 tsp sweetener if needed.

7

Serve immediately: pour into two glasses (or one large) and garnish if desired with a small pineapple wedge or lime wheel.
