Prepare Ingredients
Measure and prep
Measure out coconut water, frozen mixed berries, honey, and chia seeds. Peel the banana and zest then juice the lime. If using yogurt, have it chilled and ready.
If not using fully frozen berries or you prefer a colder thicker texture, add 4 ice cubes to the blender.
Blend Smoothie
Initial blending
Add 2 cups coconut water to the blender first (this protects the blades and helps even blending). Add 1.5 cups frozen mixed berries and the peeled banana on top of the liquid.
Add 1/2 cup yogurt if using, 1 tablespoon honey, and 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice. Add 1 teaspoon chia seeds. If you opted for ice, add it now.
Secure the blender lid and blend on high until smooth and uniform, about 45–60 seconds depending on blender strength. Pause and scrape down the sides once if needed, then blend another 10–15 seconds.
Adjust & Serve
Taste the smoothie. If you want it sweeter, add up to 1 additional teaspoon honey and blend briefly. If too thick, add 2–4 tablespoons coconut water and pulse to combine. If too thin, add a few more frozen berries and blend to thicken.
Pour the smoothie into two 12-ounce glasses (or one large glass). Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup mixed berries on top and dust with a pinch of lime zest for aroma. Let chia seeds sit in the poured smoothie for 1–2 minutes to soften slightly, or pre-soak them for 5–10 minutes in a tablespoon of water if you prefer them gelatinous.
Serve immediately with a straw.
