Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the applewood smoked bacon until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and place on a paper towel to drain excess fat.

  2. 2

    Cook the Turkey

In the same skillet, drain excess bacon fat if necessary. Add the ground turkey, season with salt and pepper to taste, and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes. Stir occasionally to break up the turkey.

  3. 3

    Prepare Vegetables

While the turkey is cooking, wash the lettuce and slice the tomato into thin rounds.

  4. 4

    Toast the Sub Roll

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the sub roll on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 5 minutes or until lightly golden.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the Sandwich

Spread the mayonnaise evenly on the inside of the toasted sub roll. Layer the cooked ground turkey, crispy bacon, cheddar cheese slices, fresh lettuce, and tomato slices inside the roll.

  2. 6

    Serve

Cut the sandwich in half if desired and serve immediately while warm.
