Prepare the Biscuit Dough
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add Milk
Make a well in the center of the mixture and pour in the milk. Stir gently until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

Shape and Bake
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times. Roll out to about 1-inch thickness and cut into rounds. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Cook the Sausage
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the applewood smoked sausage patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.

Assemble the Dish
Split the baked biscuits in half and place one half on a plate. Stack the cooked sausage patty on top, followed by the melted egg and cheese. Top with crispy hash browns and drizzle with warm sausage gravy.
