Kids portion of our homemade tenders with fries. The only complaint we here is from the parents, that they can't take their kids anywhere but here for our tenders.

Chicken Tenders

Method

Chicken Tenders Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Chicken

Cut the chicken breast into strips and place them in a bowl. Pour the buttermilk over the chicken and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Breading

In a shallow dish, mix the flour, cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, beat the egg.

  3. 3

    Bread the Chicken

Remove the marinated chicken from the fridge. Dip each chicken strip into the egg, then dredge in the flour mixture, ensuring a good coating.

  4. 4

    Fry the Chicken

In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded chicken strips and fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Fries Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to create fries.

  2. 6

    Fry the Potatoes

In a separate deep skillet, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the cut potatoes in batches, frying for about 3-4 minutes or until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, then sprinkle with salt.
