Preparation

  1. 1

    Toast the Sub Rolls

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the sub rolls in half lengthwise and place them on a baking sheet. Toast them in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes until they are lightly golden.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Ingredients

While the rolls are toasting, slice the tomato into thin rounds and shred the lettuce if not pre-shredded. Prepare the cheese by slicing it into thin pieces if it’s not pre-sliced.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Sandwich

Once the rolls are toasted, remove them from the oven. Layer the black forest ham evenly on the bottom half of each roll, followed by the cheese. Place the top half of the roll back on.

Finishing Touches

  1. 4

    Add Toppings

Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the inside of each top half of the roll. Add shredded lettuce and sliced tomato on top of the ham and cheese.

  2. 5

    Serve

Carefully place the top half of the roll over the toppings. Cut the sandwich in half if desired and serve immediately. Enjoy your Hobo sandwich!
