Shrimp Preparation
- 1
Marinate the Shrimp
In a mixing bowl, combine the raw shrimp with Cajun seasoning, olive oil, and lemon juice. Toss well to ensure the shrimp are evenly coated with the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- 2
Preheat the Grill
While the shrimp is marinating, preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 450°F).
- 3
Grill the Shrimp
Once the grill is ready, thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes beforehand). Grill the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque.
Sides Preparation
- 4
Prepare the Rice
If using uncooked rice, cook the rice according to package instructions. If you have leftover cooked rice, simply reheat it in a saucepan or microwave before serving.
- 5
Steam the Broccoli
While the shrimp is grilling, steam the broccoli until vibrant green and tender, about 5-7 minutes. You can use a steamer basket or microwave with a little water in a covered bowl.
Serving
- 6
Plate the Dish
Once the shrimp are grilled and the sides are ready, plate the cooked rice and steamed broccoli alongside the grilled Cajun shrimp. Serve hot and enjoy!
