Method

Hashbrown Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Hashbrowns

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the frozen hashbrowns and season with salt and pepper. Cook until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes on each side. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Filling Preparation

  1. 2

    Cook the Bacon and Sausage

In the same skillet, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. In the same skillet, cook the sausage patties until browned and fully cooked. Set aside.

  2. 3

    Scramble the Eggs

In a bowl, whisk the eggs. Pour into the skillet and scramble until cooked through. Remove from heat.

Assemble the Hashbrown

  1. 4

    Layer the Ingredients

On one half of each hashbrown, layer the scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage patties, and top with slices of American cheese. Fold the other half of the hashbrown over the filling to create a stuffed hashbrown.

Sausage Gravy Preparation

  1. 5

    Make the Gravy

In a saucepan, cook the ground sausage over medium heat until browned. Sprinkle the flour over the sausage and mix well. Gradually stir in the milk, and cook until thickened. Season with salt and black pepper.

Final Assembly

  1. 6

    Serve with Toast or Biscuit

Toast the bread slices until golden brown. Serve the double-stuffed hashbrowns smothered with sausage gravy, alongside the buttery toast or biscuit.
