Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Baking Dish

Lightly grease a baking dish with cooking spray or a little melted butter.

  3. 3

    Season the Haddock

Place the haddock fillets in the prepared baking dish. Season with salt and black pepper.

Prepare the Topping

  1. 4

    Melt the Butter

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Remove from heat once melted.

  2. 5

    Combine Topping Ingredients

In a bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley until well combined.

  3. 6

    Apply Topping

Spread the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the haddock fillets.

Cook the Haddock

  1. 7

    Bake the Haddock

Bake the haddock in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

Prepare the Sides

  1. 8

    Cook the Asparagus

While the fish is baking, steam or sauté the asparagus in a separate pan until tender, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 9

    Boil the Potatoes

In a pot of boiling salted water, add the halved baby potatoes and cook until fork-tender, about 10-15 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Serving

  1. 10

    Serve the Dish

Once the haddock is done, remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Plate the haddock with asparagus and baby potatoes on the side.
