Method
Cocktail
Combine and shake
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add 2 oz Absolut Citron, 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice and 0.5 oz simple syrup. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the shaker is well chilled.
Add Chambord
Open the shaker and pour in 0.5 oz Chambord. Briefly stir with a bar spoon (4–6 gentle spins) to incorporate the liqueur without overly diluting the mix. The Chambord can also be floated instead (see next step).
Strain and serve
Double-strain the cocktail into a chilled coupe or martini glass using a Hawthorne strainer and fine-mesh strainer to remove ice shards and any pulp. If you prefer a layered look, pour the shaken cocktail first, then gently float the Chambord over the back of a spoon so it settles near the surface, creating a pinkish halo.
Garnish & Finish
Express the oils from a lemon twist over the top of the drink, then rub it on the rim and drop it into the glass. Optionally, skewer 2 fresh raspberries on a cocktail pick and rest across the rim or float them on top.
Serve immediately while cold. The drink should be bright and citrus-forward with a delicate raspberry sweetness and aroma from the Chambord.
