Preparation

1

Chill glass

Place the serving glass (old-fashioned or coupe) in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to chill it.

2

Measure and combine

In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz Código Blanco, 0.75 oz apricot liqueur, 2 oz fresh pineapple juice, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz agave syrup.

3

Add ice and shake

Add about 1 cup of ice to the shaker. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until well-chilled and slightly frothy from the pineapple juice.

4

Prepare serving glass

If you used ice water to chill the glass, discard the ice water. Add 1 cup of large ice (or crushed ice if preferred) to the serving glass.

5

Double strain and serve

Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared glass (use the shaker's built-in strainer plus a fine mesh strainer) to remove small ice shards and pineapple pulp for a clean texture.

6

Garnish

Garnish with a pineapple wedge or spear and a lime wheel on the rim. Optionally float a dehydrated or fresh apricot slice on top for aroma and visual appeal.

7

Final touch

Give the drink a gentle stir once after garnishing if needed, then serve immediately. Suggestion: provide a small straw if using crushed ice.
