1

Prepare glass and cocktail

Chill a tall (16–20 oz) beer glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare ingredients. If using ice water, discard before building the drink.

2

Add 1 cup of cubed ice to the chilled glass.

3

In a cocktail shaker (or mixing glass) combine 1.5 oz tequila, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, 0.25 oz orange liqueur and 0.5 oz olive brine. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 8–10 seconds to chill and slightly dilute the mix.

4

Strain the tequila mixture into the prepared glass over the ice, leaving room at the top for the beer.

5

Open 1 bottle of Corona and slowly pour it down the side of the glass so it layers with the tequila mixture. Pour gently to minimize foam; tilt the glass slightly and pour along the side if desired. Leave a little head to avoid overflow.

6

Garnish with 1 green olive skewered on a cocktail pick and a lime wedge on the rim. Optionally, squeeze the lime into the drink before dropping it in for extra brightness.

7

Serve immediately with a straw or stirring stick so the drinker can mix to taste. Recommend stirring once to integrate beer and tequila mixture before sipping; the olive brine will add a savory 'dirty' note to the beer-cocktail hybrid.
