Cocktail

1

Muddle

Place 6 fresh blackberries and 0.5 oz simple syrup into a cocktail shaker. Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, gently muddle the blackberries until they release juice and break down but still retain some texture (about 20–30 seconds).

2

Add spirits and citrus

Add 2 oz Dulce Vida Blanco Tequila, 0.75 oz orange liqueur, and 0.75 oz fresh lime juice to the shaker.

3

Shake

Fill the shaker with about 1 cup of ice, secure the lid, and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is very cold.

4

Prepare glass

Fill a rocks glass with cracked ice or ice cubes (about 1 cup). Optionally, rub a lime wedge around the rim before filling if you want a faint citrus aroma.

5

Double strain and serve

Double-strain the cocktail through a fine-mesh strainer (to catch seeds and pulp) into the prepared glass over ice.

6

Garnish

Skewer one fresh blackberry and place it on the rim or drop it into the glass. Add a lime wheel or wedge on the rim.

7

Optional adjustment

Taste and, if you prefer it sweeter, stir in an additional 0.25–0.5 oz simple syrup; if you prefer more tartness, add a splash (0.25 oz) more lime juice. Stir gently to combine.
