Method

Preparation of the Tea Base

1

Brew Black Tea

In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and add 2 cups of black tea. Let steep for 5-7 minutes, then strain and discard the tea leaves. Allow the brewed tea to cool.

2

Infuse with Herbs

In the same saucepan, add the dried chamomile flowers, dried orange peel, dried gentian root, and optional dried wormwood to the cooled black tea. Stir well, cover, and let infuse for about 30 minutes.

Sweetening and Flavoring

3

Add Sweeteners and Flavorings

After the infusion period, strain the mixture again to remove the herbs. Add honey or agave syrup, vanilla extract, and lemon juice. Stir until well combined. If desired, add non-alcoholic bitters for extra depth of flavor.

Serving the Drink

4

Prepare to Serve

Fill a glass with ice cubes. Pour the non-alcoholic amaro falso mixture over the ice until the glass is filled to your preference.

5

Garnish

Garnish the drink with fresh orange slices and mint leaves for an aromatic presentation. Optionally, stir gently to combine flavors.
