Method

Prep

  1. 1

Chill a coupe or martini glass in the freezer for at least 5 minutes or fill with ice water while you prepare the cocktail.

  2. 2

If using canned lychee for garnish, drain and pat dry; reserve one whole lychee and, if desired, remove the pit and skewer with a cocktail pick.

Mixing & Shaking

  1. 3

    Combine ingredients

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in 2 oz Tito's Vodka, 1.5 oz lychee purée, 0.5 oz lychee liqueur, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.25 oz simple syrup.

  2. 4

    Shake

Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosty and well chilled. The vigorous shake helps to emulsify the lychee purée with the spirits for a silky texture.

  3. 5

    Double strain (optional)

If your lychee purée has pulp or bits, double strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a mixing glass or directly into the chilled coupe to achieve a smooth, clean presentation.

Finishing & Garnish

  1. 6

If you chilled the glass with ice water, empty and dry it. Strain the shaken cocktail into the chilled coupe or martini glass.

  2. 7

Garnish with the skewered lychee placed on the rim or floated on the surface. Add an edible flower or a small mint sprig beside the lychee for color and aroma, if desired.

  3. 8

Serve immediately with a small napkin. Recommend to enjoy while cold; the balance of vodka, lychee sweetness, and lime should present a floral, bright flavor profile.
