Method
Prep
- 1
Rim (optional)
If you prefer a salted rim, run a grapefruit wedge around the outside of a rocks glass or coupe. Spread the coarse salt on a shallow plate and gently dip the glass rim into the salt to coat. Set glass aside.
- 2
Fill a cocktail shaker about halfway with ice.
Mixing
- 3
Pour 2 oz Casamigos Reposado, 1.5 oz fresh grapefruit juice, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz agave nectar into the shaker over the ice.
- 4
Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is well chilled and slightly frosted. This both chills and lightly dilutes the cocktail for balance.
Finish & Serve
- 5
- 6
Garnish with a grapefruit wedge or a long grapefruit twist expressed over the drink to release oils, then drop it into or onto the glass.
- 7
Serve immediately. Taste and, if desired, adjust sweetness on subsequent pours by adding 0.25 oz more agave nectar or a splash more grapefruit juice for brightness.
