Method

White Sambuca Preparation

1

Infuse Anise Seeds

In a clean glass jar, combine the anise seeds and neutral grain alcohol. Seal tightly and let it infuse for 2-3 weeks in a cool, dark place, shaking it gently every few days.

2

Prepare Simple Syrup

In a saucepan, combine water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Allow it to cool to room temperature.

3

Combine and Bottle

Once the infusion is ready, strain out the anise seeds using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth. Mix the infused alcohol with the simple syrup and add the vanilla bean (split in half). Bottle the sambuca and let it rest for at least one week before consuming.
