Cocktail Base
Muddle & Garnish
Optional (house-infused cucumber vodka)
Method
House-infused cucumber vodka (optional, makes ~10–12 oz)
Once infused to taste, strain the vodka through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a clean bottle. Discard cucumber solids. Store refrigerated and use as needed in cocktails.
Cocktail Preparation
In a mixing glass or shaker, add the 3 peeled cucumber slices and 6 fresh basil leaves. Muddle gently 6–8 times — press to release cucumber juices and basil aroma but avoid pulverizing the basil so it doesn't turn bitter.
Add 2 oz house-infused cucumber vodka, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz basil simple syrup to the shaker. Add a handful of ice (enough to chill & dilute properly).
Shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until well chilled.
Double-strain into a chilled Collins or highball glass filled with fresh ice to remove small basil bits and cucumber solids.
Top with approximately 2 oz soda water (adjust to taste) and give one gentle stir to combine.
Garnish with a cucumber ribbon or wheel and a fresh basil sprig. Optionally slap the basil sprig between your palms before garnishing to release its aroma.
