Method

Prep

1

Rim (optional)

If you want a salted or Tajín rim, rub a lime wedge around the glass lip, then dip the rim into a shallow plate of coarse salt or Tajín. Set glass aside.

2

Juice fresh limes and oranges. Measure juices and simple syrup so everything is ready for shaking.

Build & Serve

3

Fill a cocktail shaker half full with ice.

4

Add 2 oz Herradura Silver, 0.5 oz Cointreau, 0.5 oz Gran Gala, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 0.75 oz fresh orange juice, and 0.25 oz simple syrup to the shaker.

5

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is very cold and well chilled.

6

Fill the prepared serving glass with fresh ice (if desired). Double-strain the cocktail into the glass using a fine mesh strainer to remove small ice shards and any pulp.

7

Garnish with an orange wheel or twist and a lime wheel on the rim or floated on top.

8

Serve immediately.
